1991 BMW 525I Window and door locks dont work (PLZ HELP) Read Below?

I Have a 1991 BMW 525I And for no reason at all the windows and locks quit working. Since they are electric locks I cant even use the key to get in the car. (I was able to get in the car though with the trusty coat hanger) Anyways above the ac/heatercontrols there is the computer or whatever it is that has the time MPG,AMPG,CODE, and so on there are about 10 ons on it, The orange light for the back ground comes up but nothing in the display section. I Know that unit pops out But if it was bad can it cause these problems? All the fuses are good and the car runs great but I cant unlock the door or roll the windows down, I have taken the radio out and glove box and checked all the wires that I can from the pasanger side I would like to check under the drivers side but I can open the door. Any help Any Ideas?? If you need more info to help me just drop me a line
