Christians who are opposed to divorce?

How would you counsel a woman who is only able to obtain a low paying job, and has a husband who works but refuses to give any of his wages to the family? Would you chastise her if she applied for food stamps and on the application did not list her husband as being in the household due to the fact that she does not receive money from him? What would YOU do in her situation? How many of you have tried to get a job lately? Even a low-paying job?
