How can I install my HP Scanner into my laptop?

I have an HP PSC 1610 All-In-One and an HP laptop. I have downloaded the software from the HP website but it doesn't have the scan on on it. And I'm not sure if it's correctly installed. Can someone try to give me instructions for this?
