Can i progress from doing Psychology and sports science at University, to a job in equine psychology?

or equine sports psychology. Or anything horsey tbh! I have read that your better off doing a human course first, then specialising in equine, is this right? As i wanted to equine science but now i'm not so sure of the career prospects.
