How to get rid of coldsores?

I take Valtrex at the first sign of a cold sore, it never develops. But that would do you no good now, if you've had it for a week, it could last another week, or it could last a month, it just depends on your immune system and how well it works. In other words, no one can tell you that, you have to wait and see.
