Where's the cheapest place to get a waterfront property on or around Lake Michigan?

I tried talking to a realtor but they only know their local area... I don't want to call 100's of realtors... is there an easier way to search for waterfront property around the entire Lake Michigan and its connecting waterways? Looking for a place with my own boat slip for the summer, within 100-150 miles of Chicago.
