Why are the Gods in the Iliad Roman Gods instead of Greek?

It is a Greek epic. You may have a certain translation of the Iliad which replaces the Greek god's names with the Roman equivalents. The Roman gods were basically the same as the Greek gods only with different names, i.e Minerva is actually Athena, Juno is Hera, and Jupiter is Zeus.
