How does the nikon 18-105mm f/3.5-5.6 AF-S DX VR ED lens compare to the nikon 18-70mm DX lens?

would like to know on the parameters such as image quality,sharpness, focussing,chromatic aberration etc. at the wide as well as the telephoto end. Thanks...Tushar.
